What is a hair transplant?

A hair transplant is an elective surgical procedure designed to treat baldness or thinning hair. During a hair transplant procedure, a doctor removes hair follicles from one part of your scalp and inserts the follicles into an area where you're experiencing hair loss.

How do hair transplants work?

Dr. Nazam may recommend that you take a few days off work after your hair transplant procedure. But most patients can return to their normal activities within a few days. Dr. Nazam will explain how to care for your scalp at home after the procedure.

What results can I expect?

It’s important to understand that a hair transplant procedure may not produce immediate results. The transplanted hair follicles need time to heal and start growing.
